Iuri received his BSc in Meteorology from the São Paulo State University (UNESP), working with the creation and analysis of a precipitation field from rainfall measurements and precipitation estimates from radars, also conducting a research on the effect of the tropospheric ozone in the Cerrado region of Bauru-SP. He is currently an MSc student in the Post-Graduate Program in Meteorology at the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences (IAG), University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, working with high resolution simulations of extreme precipitation events associated with Dengue vector explosions in the city of Recife-PE.
